Architecture Building of White Admiral in Bevendean by Conran & Partners architects

This is a plan Architecture Building of  White Admiral, wherelocated in Bevendean and the designer is Conran & Partners architects. They have been granted planning permission for what is intended to be one of Brighton & Hove's most environmentally friendly housing schemes. The site in Bevendean, an inter-war estate on the edge of the city, will contain 23 flats, for rental or shared ownership. The client is Downland Housing Association, part of the Affinity Group. The Scheme uses local material to reduce environmental damage from transportation. The buildings are constructed from timber on a brick base, with a corner building clad in recycled copper. The roof surface is also treated as if it were an elevation (the roofs can be seen from the distant hills) so these are planted, softening the appearance of the buildings and blending them into their surroundings.
